Reportedly, Aishwarya converted to Islam for the wedding which was attended by their close friends.

Moreover, producers of films starring Aishwarya Rai started worrying about the fate of their films when the reports of her marriage came to light.

During one of the media interactions, Ash shrugged off the reports impatiently and stated that if their wedding had happened, the entire industry would have known about it. She also added that she is not among those people who deny real facts and mentioned that she would proudly announce her marriage to the world whenever it would happen. In her words:

“Wouldn’t the entire industry be aware of it if it had happened? The industry is such a small place, besides I’ve not even had the time to spend with my family after my mom’s accident. I’m not the sort of person to deny something as major as marriage. I’d proudly announce my marriage to the world if it had happened. Also, where is the time to marry? All this is simply ridiculous.”

She mentioned that she endured Salman’s alcoholic misbehaviour in its worst phases and received verbal, physical, and emotional abuse, infidelity, and indignity. So, she decided to end her relationship with him.
