Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan tied the knot with each other on April 20, 2007. Hailed among the IT couples of Bollywood, the two are beautifully parenting their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Aishwarya and Abhishek are well-known for standing up for each other. Amid speculations of their separation, Abhishek and Aishwarya fuelled the rumours when the couple arrived separately at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding.

When Abhishek Bachchan talked about having fights with Aishwarya Rai every day

Back in 2010, during an interview with Vogue India, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were asked about the frequency of their fights. To this, Aishwarya said ‘every day’. However, Abhishek added that what mainly happens between them is not fights, but rather, they are more like healthy disagreements. Later, Abhishek revealed that he was the first one to make up after a fight. He also added that he and Aishwarya have a rule that they do not sleep on a fight.

Amid all this, an old interview of Aishwarya Rai surfaced online, in which she accepted that she and Abhishek Bachchan fight every day like all normal couples. It was during her appearance on a talk show with Anupama Chopra after her wedding when Aishwarya was asked by the host, “Abhishek said that the two of you feel like ‘a newly married old couple’, What does that mean.?” Replying to this, Aishwarya shared:

“We have been so comfortable with each other. I think the ‘newly married’ aspect is that it’s wonderful what we share because it is based on such a friendship.”

Aishwarya also added that people around them keep on wishing them, but they feel like ‘newly married forever’, which is just great. Aishwarya also mentioned that Abhishek has put this fact very cleverly. The host then asked Aishwarya, “He also said that you two fight every day, is that true?” Showcasing her witty side, the actress said:

”That’s what I mean when I say that we have been together for like 10 years. We were normal from the beginning, even before marriage.”

Aishwarya Rai, who is known as an extremely private person, said that she and Abhishek have known each other for a really long time and hence, they share such comfort level. When the host amusedly asked Aishwarya, “Every day? On what?”, she said that an entire film unspools between them every day. In her words:

”We go through an entire movie throughout the day. It all happens. Really really quick. Time is really precious for us so we have our own dramatics very quickly.”

Needless to say, Aishwarya’s revelations came as a shock to many as she never washed her dirty linen in public. Moreover, Abhishek also never spoke ill about his wife or disrespected her in any way. When the show host reacted by saying, “Every day is quite a record”, Aish said:

“Really? Come on..”
