The infamous gangster, Lawrence Bishnoi, whose name resonates from India to Canada, has recently been implicated in the Baba Siddique murder case. His cousin, Ramesh Bishnoi, spoke to NDTV, addressing the allegations against Lawrence.

Ramesh expressed his gratitude to NDTV for providing a platform to share the truth. He acknowledged that while there are rumors linking Lawrence to the murder, only a proper investigation will reveal the true culprits. He also pointed out that Lawrence has been involved in several threats and attacks against actor Salman Khan, largely due to the Bishnoi community’s anger over Khan’s killing of a blackbuck, a revered animal for the Bishnoi people.

The Bishnoi community has deep-rooted reverence for nature and wildlife, and Salman Khan’s actions stirred great resentment within the community. Ramesh explained that Lawrence’s actions stem from this outrage and the community’s sense of justice.

When asked about Lawrence’s involvement in other criminal activities like extortion and contract killings, Ramesh dismissed these claims, stating that Lawrence owns considerable land and has no need for money. He further clarified that their family is not involved in any criminal activities or money transactions related to Lawrence’s alleged operations.

Ramesh also shared insights into Lawrence’s early life, describing him as a calm and community-oriented individual who excelled in school. Lawrence was deeply influenced by the teachings of Bhagat Singh and had a strong sense of justice. He was actively involved in keeping local youth away from drugs and spent time organizing sports activities for them. However, after moving to Chandigarh for further education, Lawrence became embroiled in politics, which may have led him down a darker path.

Addressing the media’s portrayal of Lawrence as a dangerous gangster, Ramesh emphasized that no court has yet convicted Lawrence of these crimes. The family’s stance remains that Lawrence is innocent until proven guilty.

Regarding the recent public statements by Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, accusing Lawrence of extortion, Ramesh refuted these allegations, stating that their community does not operate for financial gain. He further criticized media outlets for spreading false information, particularly about Lawrence’s father being in the police, a claim that Ramesh insists is entirely fabricated.

In conclusion, Ramesh expressed faith in the justice system, stating that only the courts can determine Lawrence’s guilt or innocence. He also reiterated the Bishnoi community’s stance: if Salman Khan sincerely apologizes for his actions, the community is open to forgiveness. However, he believes that the Khan family’s arrogance may prevent such reconciliation.
