Abhishek Bachchan on Protecting His Family and Handling Social Media Trolls

Abhishek Bachchan has been in the limelight recently due to rumors surrounding his relationship with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Videos from their wedding and personal life have been circulating online, fueling speculations. However, Abhishek is known for not shying away from confronting trolls on social media, especially when it comes to his family.

While Abhishek has not always enjoyed the same level of success as his father, Amitabh Bachchan, he has carved out his own space in the industry over the past 24 years. From movies to web series, he has shown versatility in his roles, which has earned him admiration from audiences. Despite this, he often becomes the target of online trolling. While he usually ignores such negativity, he has made it clear that there is a line when it comes to his daughter, Aaradhya.

Abhishek has spoken openly about his protective nature towards his daughter. He once declared that if trolls ever target Aaradhya, he will not hesitate to create boundaries on social media. In an interview, he mentioned that while he enjoys certain aspects of social media, such as receiving information, he is not comfortable with everything. He stated, “I’m clear about some things—I don’t let people talk about my daughter on my social media handles. If I feel the need to draw boundaries, I will, because I don’t want my daughter involved in such negativity.”

Abhishek further explained that while his parents, his wife Aishwarya, and even he are public figures open to scrutiny, there is still a limit. “If anyone crosses that limit, I will speak out, and it is my right,” he emphasized. He also noted that some people seek attention rather than healthy discussions, which is why ignoring such behavior is often the best solution.

Additionally, Abhishek shared that he does not feel pressured by social media and is clear about what he chooses to share. He mentioned, “I don’t spend 24 hours on social media—it’s just not my type.”
