Alia Bhatt is currently gearing up for the release of Jigra on October 11. The film has been directed by Vasan Bala and features Alia Bhatt in the lead. Alia has not only headlined the film but has also co-produced it with Karan Johar. Karan and Alia’s frequent collaboration reminded fans of how Aishwarya Rai once pointed out the director’s support towards her.

Aishwarya said that Alia Bhatt gets only “good opportunities and work” in her lap because of the support she gets from filmmaker Karan Johar. She also praised Alia for her work and added that the actress has shown her skills in various movies.

Aishwarya said, “I have said this to her (Alia Bhatt) also, ‘It’s fantastic for you’. The kind of support Karan (Johar) has given to her from the beginning, and to have that kind of an establishment with you is very comforting because you know it is not tough. You can have it all laid out for the longest time. And she smiled. It’s great where you as an actor know there are only good opportunities ahead.”

“But what’s nice is she (Alia Bhatt) is also doing good work, along with great opportunities which are virtually there literally on her lap, regularly,” added Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The video is from the time when Aishwarya was promoting her 2018 film Fanney Khan, co-starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.

Meanwhile, in the upcoming movie, Alia and Vedang are play siblings, and their chemistry is already getting praise from the audience. The trailer starts with Alia Bhatt’s character receiving a late-night call, informing her that her brother, Ankur (played by Vedang Raina), has been arrested. Confused and worried, she asks him if he’s done anything wrong and if his blood tests will be clean. One then sees Ankur in a courtroom in a foreign country, unable to understand the language, as he’s taken into custody.

Determined to save her brother, Alia sets off on a mission, desperate to see him. She asks if hurting herself would force the authorities to let her visit him, but she’s repeatedly denied access. We watch as she travels to the country where he’s being held and begins her fight to get him released. The trailer picks up with intense action as Alia performs daring stunts, evading guards and taking extreme measures to save her brother, who is being tortured in jail. As she faces roadblocks at every turn, she refuses to give up.
