Allahabad High Court has issued notice to Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan for doing Paan Masala ad. A petition was filed against these three in the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court.

In response to this, the Deputy Solicitor General says that a notice has already been issued to the three actors in this matter on October 20. This matter is also going on in the Supreme Court.

It is worrisome for the actors who have received the Padma award to do this. Petitioner Advocate Motilal Yadav said in his petition that it is very worrisome for the actors who have received the Padma award to do ads for gutkha and pan masala.

These substances are dangerous for people’s health, so how can such big celebrities promote such substances. The petitioner told the court that no action has been taken in this matter yet, while a show cause notice has already been issued.

Solicitor General said- show cause notice sent to all three actors Keeping this petition in mind, in August 2023, the court had issued notice to the Cabinet Secretary, Chief Commissioner and Central Consumer Protection Authority. The petition sought contempt action for alleged non-compliance of the September 2022 order.

In response to this, Deputy Solicitor General SB Pandey says that show cause notice has already been issued to all three actors in this case. Since the case is in the Supreme Court, it should be dismissed by the High Court. The court has set the date of May 9, 2024 for further action.
