In a shocking new developments, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan received a fresh extortion and death threat on Friday morning.
News reports stated that the Mumbai traffic police received a threat message demanding Rs 5 crore extortion money from the Bollywood actor. The threat was reportedly sent via WhatsApp to a Mumbai Traffic Police number, stating that if Khan wanted to resolve his longstanding feud with the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, he would have to pay the extortion amount.
The sender, suspected to be sent by someone linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, warned that failure to comply could lead to dire consequences, allegedly ‘worse than Baba Siddiqui’ who was shot dead on October 12.
“A threatening message has been received on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police, demanding Rs 5 crore from actor Salman Khan to end his long-standing rivalry with Lawrence Bishnoi,” confirmed a spokesperson from the Mumbai Police. The message further cautioned, “Don’t take it lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, then he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan’s condition will be worse than Baba Siddique.”

Taking the threat seriously, the Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the sender’s identity and motives. Authorities are not taking any chances, especially after a similar incident last month, when a young couple threatened the actor’s father, Salim Khan, in what they later claimed was “just for fun,” sparking widespread concern.

ANI reported that security measures have been heightened outside the actor’s Bandra house. Videos from the location see

armed policemen seated outside the actor’s house, while police vans and trucks remained parked near the actor’s residential building.

Over the years, both Salman Khan and his family have been subjected to various threats from the Bishnoi gang, including extortion demands, ultimatums, and even a warning shot fired outside their home in April. At the time, the gang called the firing incident as a “final warning”.

According to reports, the Mumbai Police have also tightened security around Khan’s shooting locations in Goregaon Film City, other studios, and his office. Increased vigilance has also been placed on the family’s country house, Arpita Farms in Panvel, and the routes the actor frequently travels, with stricter monitoring of visitors.
A case has been registered at Worli Police Station under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for threat and extortion.
