With notable appearances in films like ‘Sita Ramam’, ‘Jersey’, ‘Hi Nanna’, ‘Super 30’, and many more she has established herself as a versatile actress. Recently, she made a special cameo in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, surprising fans with her role as Divya.

However, there was a time when Mrunal was considered for a significant role opposite one of Bollywood’s biggest stars.

During an episode of Bigg Boss Weekend Ka Vaar, hosted by Salman Khan, the actor shared an interesting tidbit about Mrunal’s early career.

To promote her film ‘Jersey’ alongside Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal appeared on the show, where Salman Khan revealed that she was the original choice for the female lead in his 2016 hit film ‘Sultan’. He recollected that director Ali Abbas Zafar had brought Mrunal to his Panvel farmhouse for a meeting regarding the role.

Salman explained that the team found Mrunal unfit for the role of Aarfa, a wrestler because she didn’t look the part at the time. They needed someone who could convincingly portray a wrestler, and Mrunal, who had lost a lot of weight, didn’t fit the physical profile they were looking for. Consequently, the role went to Anushka Sharma, who delivered a stellar performance, with her on-screen chemistry with Salman.

Mrunal later made her Bollywood debut with the 2018 film ‘Love Sonia’, which showcased her talent and opened doors to more opportunities. Since then, she has worked in a variety of films.
Looking ahead, Mrunal is expected to collaborate with Prabhas in an upcoming film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, who also directed ‘Sita Ramam’. This project is anticipated to be one of the biggest projects in her career.
