Salman Khan Death Threat: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received yet another death threat, with an unknown sender demanding ₹2 crore via WhatsApp on Mumbai Police’s Traffic Helpline. The Worli police have launched an investigation to track the sender, who threatened Salman Khan with severe consequences if the ransom isn’t paid. This incident follows the recent arrest of a 20-year-old man from Noida for allegedly threatening both Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique, citing ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In a similar case last week, a man from Jamshedpur also threatened Salman Khan, demanding ₹5 crore. Mumbai Police are intensifying efforts amid these escalating threats.

Adding to the string of death threats against Salman Khan, an anonymous message to Mumbai traffic control today threatened that the actor would be killed unless he paid ₹ 2 crore as ransom, police sources have said. Police have registered a case against an unidentified person and an investigation is on. The case has been registered under sections relating to threats of extortion and death threats.
This comes shortly after a 20-year-old man was arrested from Noida over death threats to the actor and Zeeshan Siddiqui, MLA and son of NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Baba Siddique, who was shot dead on October 12. Police have taken Gufran Khan to Mumbai on a transit remand.
Earlier, Mumbai Police arrested Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, a 24-year-old vegetable seller from Jamshedpur, over a threatening message received by the Mumbai traffic police’s WhatsApp helpline. The threat message demanded ₹ 5 crore as ransom.
Salman Khan has in the past received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, apparently due to his involvement in the blackbuck hunting case in Rajasthan during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. Suspected members of the gang had opened fire outside the actor’s Bandra home in April. The actor’s security has been beefed up after the string of death threats.
Earlier this month, former MLA and NCP (Ajit Pawar) faction leader Baba Siddique, known to be close to Salman Khan, was shot dead near his son Zeeshan’s office in Mumbai.
Making an appearance on the TV show Bigg Boss 18 days after Baba Siddique’s murder, Salman Khan said he didn’t want to be back on the show, but his work commitments brought him back. The actor said he didn’t feel like meeting anyone because of the difficult situation he was going through.
Bollywood star Salman Khan has once again received a death threat through an anonymous message to the Mumbai Traffic Police, who registered an FIR against an unidentified person. The message also contained a ransom demand of ₹ 2 crore.
According to sources, the city traffic police received the message on Tuesday, threatening the actor would be killed if he did not pay ₹2 crore. The unknown sender sent various WhatsApp messages to the Traffic Helpline number. Soon the Worli Police started tracking the sender.
According to the police sources, the case has been filed under sections addressing extortion and threats to life.
The recent threat comes following the arrest of Gufran Khan, a 20-year-old from Noida, for death threats directed at both Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique. The accused was brought to Mumbai on transit remand for further investigation.
“The accused initially sent a threatening message to MLA Zeeshan Siddique’s helpline number and later made a voice call on it, in which he issued a death threat to Siddique and actor Salman Khan. This took place on Friday,” said an official of the Nirmal Nagar police station.
Just days ago, Mumbai Police arrested a Jamshedpur man who threatened the actor in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, demanding a ransom of ₹5 crore.
The Mumbai Police registered a case against an unknown person and started an investigation following a threat message.
“With the help of Jamshedpur police, an investigation was done and today the person who sent the message was arrested. He will be brought to Mumbai,” the police added.
After the initial threat, the sender sent a follow-up message, apologising and claiming that the previous text was sent by mistake. Despite this, the authorities took quick action and traced the sender to Jharkhand.
Then, a special team was sent to Jamshedpur to arrest the vegetable seller identified as Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin.
The fresh threats came after NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his son’s office in Bandra on October 12.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the politician’s murder, saying his close relationship with Salman was one of the reasons for his death.
