Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was seen at the Mumbai airport in the wee hours of Thursday. The actor, who is in the midst of filming his new action movie Sikandar, was seen leaving for an unknown location. It is currently unclear is he was flying abroad for the next schedule of the film or going on a personal trip.

Sikandar Shoot

Salman has been busy with the shoot of producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director AR Murugdoss’ next. They recently wrapped up the Mumbai schedule of the film. The superstar suffered a rib injury during the shoot and confirmed the same saying, “Do pasaliya tuti hai, aaram se.”

After recovery, the actor 58-year-old actor resumed the shoot. Reportedly, a massive set was built at Goregao’s SRPF ground to replicate the Dharavi slum. The team will reuse the set for a dance number which will feature 200 background dancers.

The Sikandar cast and crew is now gearing up for the next leg of the filming. A recent update stated that the lead actors will go to Europe by the end of 2024 to shoot two songs. The exact locations are yet to be locked.

More About Sikandar

Rashmika Mandanna, who is known for blockbusters like Pushpa and Animal, will be seen opposite Salman in the film. It also features Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar and Suniel Shetty in key roles.

The film is slated to hit the screens on Eid 2025.

Apart from this, Salman has The Bull, Kick 2, Tiger vs Pathaan and other unconfirmed projects in the pipeline.

In a video shared on Instagram, Salman is seen accompanied by his team of security personnel, including his trusted bodyguard, Shera. The Tiger 3 actor made a stylish entrance, stepping out of his car and heading straight into the airport. Salman sported an all-black ensemble, donning a black t-shirt, black pants, and a grey hoodie jacket. His look was completed with black shoes, a silver hoop earring, statement rings, and his signature bracelet.

In the midst of his busy schedule, Salman also recently addressed rumors surrounding an alleged US tour in 2024. It had been speculated that he would be performing for fans across the United States, but the actor swiftly dispelled these claims. In a statement, Salman warned fans about the fraudulent announcements circulating online.

“This is to inform that neither Mr. Salman Khan nor any of his affiliated companies or teams are organizing any upcoming concerts or appearances in the USA in 2024. Any claims suggesting that Mr. Khan will be performing are completely false. Please do not trust any emails, messages, or advertisements promoting such events. Legal action will be taken against anyone found falsely using Mr. Salman Khan’s name for fraudulent purposes,” the statement clarified.

On the professional front, Salman is currently immersed in the filming of Sikander, a project directed by A.R. Murugadoss, where he stars alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal. According to a report from Midday, Salman recently shot a colorful song sequence with Rashmika, set against the backdrop of the slums in Dharavi. The vibrant song was filmed on a specially constructed set at Goregaon’s SRPF Ground, featuring a lively celebration with 200 background dancers.

“The song showcases the slum dwellers in a festive mood, with 200 background dancers adding to the energy. Rashmika joined the crew on Thursday, while Salman sports a unique look, complete with a customized silver chain, earrings, a black vest, and a full-sleeved shirt paired with denim. Rashmika, in contrast, embraces a traditional outfit with a salwar kameez. Murugadoss has nearly wrapped up the song’s shoot, and the team will shift their focus to action sequences over the weekend,” a source revealed to the publication.

The shoot is expected to continue in Mumbai until October before the cast and crew head to Europe to film two romantic songs. Due to a rib injury, Salman initially started filming with lighter action sequences, ensuring a gradual recovery while working on the project.

In addition to Sikander, fans can look forward to seeing Salman host the highly anticipated new season of Bigg Boss, adding yet another exciting chapter to his busy year.
