Kareena Kapoor Khan has won the hearts of millions in her career which spans close to 25 years. After making her debut with Refugee in 2000, she went on to become one of the greatest actresses of her time. In her career, she gave Bollywood several unforgettable performances. However, just like any other actor her career was characterised by career-defining hits as well as flops which attracted criticism too. One such rom-com was Khushi in 2003, which failed to perform both, critically and commercially. However, there was a time when Kareena was hopeful that the film would be a game-changer in her career.

Recently, an old video of Kareena Kapoor stating talking about her role in Khushi has gone viral. The video attracted a lot of criticism from users who called the actress delusional.

In this viral clip which dates back to 2003 before Khushi’s release, Kareena admitted that her recent films had not done well. She said that their scripts and the roles did not do justice to her.

She said, “I was doing them, just because I was doing them.” Further expressing her hopes from Khushi, Kareena shared, “This is the only film that will probably hit at them completely direct, that this girl is the only girl who can probably deliver and actually, you know, give a good performance. Apart from just dancing and wearing short skirts.”

Fans quickly reacted to the video recalling Kareena’s poor performance in the film. Many users called her out for being delusional. One social media user stated, “Kareena is very lucky to be born in that generation. Self-absorbed, arrogant brat who got away with a lot of nonsense.”

Meanwhile another netizen wrote, “Yikes she has always been super delusional 😵.” Another Redditor joked, “Overacting ki. Paathshala…. Bebo was amazing in KHUSHI….. Amazingly bad, I mean…. She completely delulu about her talent… Probably everyone around her, praised her to the skies , and so grew up, believing it…considering the film starred fardeen khan, and still, she was the worst element of khushi, says a lot,”

Another comment read: “Lol, she has always been a horrible actor, living in her delulu world.” Her comment also reminded a few users of Kareena’s prediction for her 2003 film Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon. A user noted, “Same kareena about mai prem ki diwani hoon: it is a role of a lifetime. At least in last 15 years I have not seen any heroine having such a powerful role.🤡”
