Although many would expect to see one of Bollywood’s biggest stars living in a sprawling mansion similar to that of the Ambanis, Khan has been living in the same block of flats for more than 20 years, reports Square Yards.

Located in the posh Bandra area in Mumbai, Khan reportedly lives with his parents in Galaxy Apartments. His parents live on the first floor of the flat, while Khan is on the ground floor, according to The Siasat Daily.

In one video posted on his Instagram page, the actor can be seen in front of a window or balcony greeting a large crowd of fans.

In an interview with Times Now News, Khan’s brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, said the actor has a gym in his luxury flat, but insisted it was “simple”. He said Khan prefers home-cooked food over “fancy meals” and sometimes even “sleeps on the floor”.

As an actor who has starred in over 100 films and counting, Khan is often on the road travelling for work in remote locations. Like many Bollywood superstars, Khan has his own “vanity van” equipped for his needs. According to GQ India, Khan’s van is very similar to fellow actor Shah Rukh Khan’s, as it was also designed by Dilip Chhabria.

The luxury van has beige interiors, a mirror with LED lighting for Khan to get camera-ready, a couch, a TV and artwork depicting him when he was younger.
