Disha Patani and her father’s case As per a report by PTI, Disha Patani’s dad was promised a high-ranking position in a government commission in exchange for Rs 25 lacs. A FIR has been lodged at Bareilly Kotwali police station on Friday evening, the police said. The actress has not reacted to the matter yet.  What the police said in Disha Patani’s father’s case “A case has been registered against Shivendra Pratap Singh, Diwakar Garg, Acharya Jayaprakash from Juna Akhara, Preeti Garg, and one unidentified person for cheating, criminal intimidation, and extortion,” Kotwali police station in-charge D K Sharma said. “Efforts are underway to arrest the accused and take strict action,” Sharma added. Disha Patani’s father’s statement  Jagdish Patani, a resident of Bareilly’s Civil Lines area, alleged that Shivendra Pratap Singh, whom he knew personally, introduced him to Diwakar Garg and Acharya Jayaprakash, according to the complaint. The accused claimed to have strong political connections and assured Patani of securing a position as chairman, vice-chairman, or a similar prestigious post in a government commission. The complainant, the Baaghi 2 actress’ father, stated the five accused took a sum of Rs 25 lacs from him in two forms- Rs 5 lacs in cash and Rs 20 lacs via bank transfer in three different accounts.  The police said when Patani’s father demanded his money back, the accused behaved aggressively and threatened him.  Suspecting a larger fraud, he lodged a complaint with the police, leading to the registration of the FIR.  Disha Patani’s work front  The actress was seen in a small role in Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD.
