For months, Bollywood couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been under the spotlight due to ongoing divorce rumours. Recently, these speculations escalated with rumours that Abhishek may have been romantically involved with his ‘Dasvi’ co-star, Nimrat Kaur. A Reddit post about Abhishek’s closeness with Nimrat Kaur went viral recently, intensifying the buzz around possible discord in the couple’s relationship.

Amid all these rumours, an old letter penned by Amitabh Bachchan to Nimrat Kaur resurfaced online and quickly went viral. The handwritten note, written in 2022, was sent by the megastar as an appreciation for Nimrat’s portrayal in Dasvi.

“We have hardly had any interactions or meetings. The last was a compliment I gave at a YRF event for the Cadbury ad. But your work in Dasvi is exceptional, the nuances, gestures, everything! My deep admiration and congratulations,” Amitabh wrote, praising her skill and dedication.

Nimrat’s response to Big B

In response, Nimrat took to Instagram, posting a heartfelt acknowledgment alongside a snapshot of the note. Reflecting on her journey in the industry, she shared, “Eighteen years ago, when I first set foot in Mumbai, the thought that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan would one day know my name, remember us meeting, appreciate my work in a commercial, and, years later, send a note and flowers for something I tried in a film, all of this would have felt like a distant dream, perhaps even someone else’s dream for me, not my own.”

Adding her own words of gratitude in Hindi, Nimrat expressed, “@amitabhbachchan Sir, Apko Mera Sahprem, Anant Sahprem, Anant Dhanywaad! Aaj Alfaz aur bhavnaye, dono kam pad rahi hai. Apka yah snehpurvak pata ajiwan mujhe prerit karta rahega aur is amulye guldasta rui ashirwaad ki mahak meri jindagi ke har kadam par bani rahegi! Aapse mili is shabashi se ek chuppi mahsus ho rahi hai….jaise kisi vishal parvat ya Prachi mandir ke samne hoti hain. ‘Dasvi’ was released on an OTT platform in 2022, featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles alongside Yami Gautam.
