Deepika Padukone has taken a break from work and is busy nesting as her first baby with Ranveer Singh is on the way. The actress has been trying to stay low-key ever since she announced her pregnancy. She is focusing on her health and her baby. However, there was a time after her pregnancy when people trolled her for staying away from the limelight and claimed that she was faking her pregnancy.

Mommy-to-be, Deepika Padukone went on a dinner date with her in-laws in the last trimester

On August 20, 2024, Deepika was spotted out and about in the city with her in-laws. The mommy-to-be was dressed up in a black-hued fitted dress. She hid her baby bump by opting for a matching black-toned blazer. In the clip, we can see her arriving in a car with her father-in-law, followed by her mom-in-law and sister-in-law. Interestingly, the entire family was dressed up in black outfits. However, Ranveer was missing from the family dinner.

 

Deepika Padukone is not going to resume work anytime soon after her baby’s birth

Deepika and Ranveer announced their first pregnancy in March 2024. According to a report by Times Now, Deepika Padukone has rejected the third season of The White Lotus because she wanted to be a ‘hands-on’ mom and focus her time on nurturing her baby. This is one of the major reasons she has not been signing any new projects and won’t be returning to work anytime soon.

The report further stated that Deepika would not be hiring any nannies or nanas for her child. A source close to the couple shared that Deepika won’t be letting Ranveer share the baby’s chores as she wants to be a hands-on mommy. The source said:

“Deepika loves children. She bonds with them instinctively. You can be sure there will be no nannys or nanas to look after her child when it is born…I don’t think Deepika would ever let Ranveer share in parental chores. She will be a 100% hands-on mother.”

When Deepika Padukone kickstarted her prenatal yoga

Deepika Padukone has been a fitness enthusiast, and during her pregnancy, she kicked in and started her prenatal yoga journey to stay healthy. On July 3, 2024, Deepika took to her Instagram handle and shared a post. In the picture, we can see the mommy-to-be lying on a mat with her leg up the wall, showing off her baby bump. Deepika wore a fitted black-hued tank top with a matching pair of trousers.

On February 29, 2024, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shared that they will soon welcome their first child. Without posting fancy pictures, the couple revealed their due month in a sweet picture note with a cute illustration of baby booties and onesies. Deepika and Ranveer wrote atop the photo, “September 2024, Ranveer and Deepika.”
