On hearing this news from her son’s mouth Sharmila’s eyes became teary. Saif said that then mother told me that you have hurt me a lot.

Saif also told that when he got separated from Amrita, he first told this to his mother Sharmila, then Sharmila told him that if this is what he wants then she is with him. Sharmila told in the show that their separation was not that big because both were together for a long time.

Sharmila said that you have such lovely children and in such a situation it is not easy to break up. I know that in such times it is very difficult to live and everyone’s heart is broken and the time was not good.

But I tried. Sharmila told that it was not a happy moment for the family because we lost not only Amrita but Saif’s children Sara and Ibrahim as well. Saif and Amrita got divorced in the year 2004. It was then said that their divorce happened because of Saif’s affair with Rosa Catalan.

However, Saif completely refuted these claims in an interview. Saif had said that Amrita’s behavior with me and my family was bad, because of which we got divorced. After getting divorced from Amrita, Saif Ali Khan got married for the second time to Kareena Kapoor on 16 October 2012.
