Several rumours about Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s divorce have been circulating for a while now. However, none of the actors or their families have responded to these rumours. Amidst this, a video of the Bachchan siblings from 2019 showed them getting into some candid conversation with Karan Johar. The filmmaker hosted Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan for the sixth season of Koffee With Karan and the video has once again emerged on social media.

In the video, host Karan Johar asked Abhishek Bachchan during the Rapid Fire round about his greatest fear: his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or his mother Jaya Bachchan. The actor’s sister, Shweta instantly reacted when he chose Jaya Bachchan, saying that he is truly more afraid of his wife. Abhishek snapped, “It’s my Rapid Fire, be quiet!”

The video featuring Abhishek and Shweta created quite a stir on social media. One of the users wrote, “Shweta is wrong, he is afraid of his mother, even journalists do.” Another user commented saying, “Snobby people…never liked them…she thinks she is something when Karan said it himself that she wasn’t.” The third person commented, saying, “All this while I was giving Shweta the benefit of the doubt but after this episode, I realise what a drama queen she is. Insecure, intimidating and indiscreet. She had no qualms about repeatedly putting Abhishek in an awkward spot. She kept poking her nose way too frequently. Her envy and meddlesome attitude towards Abhi and Ash were so obvious. She also projects her own beliefs on Abhi- see how he thinks before answering about his wife but just gives it off to mom. Such an instigating and coloured statement to make. Surely she is the troublemaker in the Bachchan household. She should be packed off and sent to Delhi for everybody’s good.”

For those who don’t remember, Abhishek Bachchan liked an Instagram post on divorces, which further ignited rumours about their divorces. The duo arrived separately at Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s wedding. While Jr Bachchan arrived with the entire Bachchan clan, Aishwarya held her daughter, Aaradhya close at the entrance. The couple who married in 2007 in a beautiful ceremony, welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan in 2011. Aishwarya and Abhishek worked together in films like Guru, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Naa Kaho, Dhoom 2, and Umrao Jaan.
