Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Amitabh Bachchan reveals what he used to call wife Jaya Bachchan lovingly; reveals the reason behind their hush-hush wedding

Amitabh Bachchan’s bond with Kaun Banega Crorepati is similar to his relationship with his wife Jaya Bachchan: they are inseparable. The megastar has been married to Jaya Bachchan for almost four decades, and during the (August 19) show, he disclosed to participant Kajol Ved what he used to name his wife before marriage, how their romance began, who proposed first, and other information.
Jaya Bachchan, also known as Jaya Bhaduri, has been married to Amitabh Bachchan for over 40 years. Contestant Kajol Ved, a business analyst who has been married for six months, asked the megastar, “Jaya ma’am, shadi se pehle se jante hai, aap kya bulate thei, aur shadi ke baad?” (How did you address Jaya ma’am before and after marriage?)” Big B responded, “Joh unka naam tha, wahi bulate thei. (I called her by her name.)”
Kajol then enquired as to whether the actor referred to her as Jaya ji before to their marriage. The Piku actor explained that the adjective ji was added subsequently because he believes in showing respect to his wife. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya’s marriage is a symbol of marital harmony. Kajol then questioned the experienced actor who approached first. Big B stated, “Nahi aise hi milte jhulte hum log ka ek jhund tha jaha humlog ek saath milte julte thei, ghoomte phirte thei. Ek hamari film thi, hum logo ne saath mei ki. Uska naam tha Zanjeer.”

The love tale of the Silsila couple began when Big B disclosed an intriguing fact on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He stated that he and his team, which included Jaya, used to talk like that, and that if Zanjeer became popular, they would do something extraordinary. The entire group determined that if the film was successful, they would travel to London.

The iconic actor then stated that, with God’s grace, the picture went well, and they decided to leave. He also stated that they notified their parents at home that they wanted to take a vacation because the film had performed well, so they arranged to travel to London.
Amitabh Bachchan’s late father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, made a stipulation that if Jaya came to London with him, he had to first marry her before taking her overseas. The couple married immediately in front of their parents, and they have had a joyful and successful byah (marriage) ever since.
