While the divorce rumours of Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan have been grabbing the headlines for quite some time, an old clip from Koffee With Karan has come up on Reddit, where filmmaker Karan Johar asked duos Hema Malini-Esha Deol and Jaya Bachchan-Shweta Nanda to give marriage advice to Aishwarya Rai as the episode was shot shortly after her wedding with the Guru costar.

Replying to KJo’s question, Shweta said, “She is perfect, I don’t think we need to give her anything. And she has immense patience which is going to take her really face. She is fine, she doesn’t need any (advice)”

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married on April 20, 2007, in a grand ceremony. After the wedding, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that his son proposed Ash in the USA. “Abhishek and Aishwarya are fond of each other. In New York, after the premiere of Guru, Abhishek called me and said that he proposed to her. I said, ‘Come on home.’ I asked Aishwarya if she was happy. She said yes. I picked them up and took her home. I told her, this is your home. Humko kya lena dena hai aur kuch se? (How does anything else matter?),” Big B told Midday

In the recent IIFA appearance, we saw the beautiful bond between mother and daughter. On the green carpet, when Aishwarya was asked about Aaradhya “learning from the best,” the actress replied, “She’s my daughter, and she’s always with me,” showing a fist pump.

Aishwarya Rai was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan II, which also featured Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, and Jayam Ravi among others. It was directed by Mani Ratnam and was a box-office success.
