IMDb Most Popular Indian Stars 2024: Triptii Dimri beats Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt & Deepika Padukone to claw her way to the top – full list inside

IMDb has released their Most Popular Indian Stars 2024 list, which includes some jaw-dropping surprises, with Shah Rukh Khan sliding down to fourth place in the ranking.

The Most Popular Indian Stars 2024 list is here and it is full of  surprises. This year’s annual list features a mix of anticipated and unexpected names, along with a reshuffling of the ratings for the stars who also made their entry on the same last year. For starters, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video actress Triptii Dimri took the top spot, while Deepika Padukone secured the second position. The leading positions have been claimed by the ladies, while the men have secured their places starting from the third rank onward. Leading the pack among the male brigade of stars is Ishaan Khatter, who shared screen space opposite Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman in Netflix’s A Perfect Couple, a six part mini-series that was released this year. Khatter occupies the third spot.

Triptii Dimri leads IMDb’s Most Popular Indian Stars 2024 list; SRK secures a fourth spot 

King Khan aka Shah Rukh Khan occupies the fourth position in the list, which is led by Triptii Dimri, Deepika Padukone, and Ishaan Khatter in the top three positions ( in that order.) In a statement, Dimri expressed her excitement about the same, noting, “It is indeed a huge honor to be ranked No. 1 on the IMDb Most Popular Indian Stars of 2024 list. This recognition is a testament to the incredible support of my fans and the hard work of everyone I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with.”

It should be noted that Khan did not have any film release this year, which could explain why he is ranked fourth. Newly-married Sobhita Dhulipala occupies the next position, i.e., fifth spot. Dhulipala made her Hollywood debut this year in Monkey Man opposite Dev Patel.

The sixth spot was claimed by YRF’s fastest rising talent Sharvari, who has an impressive lineup of films scheduled for the upcoming year. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan secured the seventh position. Rai, similar to SRK, didn’t have any film releases this year, yet she captured the attention of her fans, media, and paparazzi with her many appearances at prestigious events.

The eighth position was claimed by Citadel: Honey Bunny star Samantha Ruth Prabhu, highlighting her rising fame beyond the southern shores. The last two positions, ninth and tenth, were taken by Alia Bhatt and Prabhas. Bhatt was recently featured in Jigra, while Prabhas gained international recognition following SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali films.
