Lawrence Bishnoi’s life story begins with a series of threats aimed at Bollywood actor Salman Khan. These threats have become a recurring issue, and Bishnoi has been linked to several high-profile criminal cases, including the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and the killing of Baba Siddique.

Born on February 12, 1992, in a village near the India-Pakistan border, Lawrence grew up in a well-off family. His father, a police constable, and his mother, a housewife, provided him with a comfortable upbringing in the Bishnoi community, known for its members residing in Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan.

From a young age, Lawrence exhibited a striking appearance, which earned him attention. His mother named him after the British administrator Henry Lawrence. Some sources, however, claim his real name was Balkaran Brar, and he changed it during his school years for its appealing sound.

Lawrence spent his childhood in his village and later attended a Christian boarding school in Abohar. There, he was seen as a typical boy, engaging with local children and helping them avoid drug addiction by providing cricket kits.

As he entered adolescence, Lawrence fell in love with a girl named Kajal, and they dreamed of a future together. After completing his 10th grade, they moved to Chandigarh for higher studies at DAV School, where Lawrence developed an interest in athletics.

While training for 1500-meter races at Punjab University, he became increasingly involved in student politics. His first significant criminal act occurred in 2008 when he fired a gun to intimidate opponents during a student election, leading to an attempted murder charge.

Following his arrest, Lawrence’s connections to the criminal underworld deepened during his time in jail, where he met other criminals. He was released after two months but soon became embroiled in more violence, including another shooting incident.

Despite his criminal activities, Lawrence continued his education at Punjab University but showed little interest in academics. His reputation grew after a notorious cheating incident during an exam, which highlighted his audacity and disregard for authority.

In 2010, he ran for the chairmanship of the university elections, showcasing his influence and popularity among peers. Although he lost, his notoriety within campus politics continued to rise, attracting both followers and enemies in the process.

Lawrence Bishnoi’s story is a cautionary tale of how a promising life can spiral into crime, illustrating the complexities of youth, power, and the lure of the underworld.
