Kareena Kapoor Opposite Akshay Kumar In The Secret Ekta Kapoor Film He’s Signed? – EXCLUSIVE

The journey of a film at the box office is no less than a gamble. While some manage to score the numbers, some movies turn out to be an utter disappointment. It’s no news that many actors/production houses even fake the B0 numbers. One such actor on whom the box office has not been often kind in the recent past is Akshay Kumar, whose film Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan did not fake the numbers and bore the brunt of being rejected. His films like Mission Raniganj, Rakshabandhan and last film Khel Khel Mein also fetched disappointing numbers.
But Kumar is a fighter and he continues to pursue and sign films. The latest we hear is that he has signed a co-production deal with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures on a film that senior director Priyadarshan will direct. FYI, this maker has not made a Hindi film in a very long time.

A little birdie tells Zoom TV, “The film is likely to be a horror comedy, a genre Akshay is trying to reclaim ever since he lost Bhool Bhulaiyaa.”
It seems that the makers are keen to have Kareena Kapoor opposite Akshay. Talks are on with the Kapoor lady who recently did a film with Ekta, The Buckingham Murders, which Hansal Mehta has directed.

Well, it is not the first time that the audience will get to witness the pairing of Akshay and Kareena on screen if it materialises in this case. The two have previously worked in a handful of films that managed to create magic on screen- Aitraaz, Ajnabee, Kambakkkht Ishq, Good Newwz and Rowdy Rathore, to name a few.
An official announcement from Balaji Motion Pictures or Akki himself (aajkal actors give more announcements on their Instagram handles than the makers) may soon be in the offing.
