Her last Hindi project was The Sky Is Pink in 2019 along with Farhan Akhtar. Ever since, she has been busy with her international projects like Citadel. While her fans have been eagerly awaiting for the actress’ comeback, looks like they finally have a piece of news to rejoice. The Gunday actress recently confirmed that she is set to return to the Hindi cinema soon.

Her comeback project could possibly be Zoya Akhtar and Farhan AKhtar’s Jee Lee Zaraa which has been long due.

Priyanka Chopra confirms her Hindi comeback

The long wait for her fans may finally be coming to an end with the actress soon announcing her comeback project. During a recent exclusive conversation with HT City, Priyanka revealed that something exciting is in the works. She also hinted at a potential announcement expected in the coming year.

She said, “Not joking, I meet many filmmakers here, read scripts. I have actively been looking for something I want to do in Hindi. This year was really busy for me. But I have something up my sleeve, I will leave it at that.”

Is Jee Le Zaraa her next project?

For some time now, there have been reports of a multi-starrer female-centric film titled Jee Le Zaraa being in the oven of Excel Entertainment. However, it has faced multiple delays and even reports about the film being shelved. When asked if PeeCee was hinting at Jee Le Zara, she replied, “You will need to speak to Excel (Entertainment, Farhan Akhtar’s production house) about that.”

Jee Le Zaraa is a road trip movie, that was first announced in 2021, with Priyanka, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt playing the lead roles. However, the film has faced a long delay due to the dates and schedules of those involved.

In August, speaking about the film, the producer Zoya Akhtar said, “I think aligning the three of them, their dates, and Farhan, his dates is the reason for the delay.”
