Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has received a death threat. He received a threat over a call. It is also said that a case has been registered at Bandra Police Station, in Mumbai.

News18 has learned that a resident of Raipur, Chhattisgarh, named Faizan had made the threatening call. Sources added that a Mumbai Police team has gone to Raipur to investigate. Sources also revealed that Bandra police station received a call threatening actor Shah Rukh Khan and asked for Rs 50 lakh.

A case was registered against an unidentified person at Bandra Police Station in Mumbai for allegedly giving a threat to actor Shah Rukh Khan. Offence u/s 308(4), 351(3)(4) BNS registered. No arrest has been made yet.

Shah Rukh Khan has been surrounded by tight security for a while now. The actor, in 2023, had stated that he was getting death threats after the success of ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’. In October 2023, Shah Rukh was provided Y+ security. The actor has been surrounded by security guards ever since. This year, it was claimed that SRK chose to skip greeting his fans on his birthday outside his home, Mannat, due to security concerns. However, Shah Rukh’s team had not addressed these speculations.

The Bollywood superstar is not the only actor who has been subjected to death threats lately. His friend, superstar Salman Khan is also tackling death threats in recent months. The actor, who is embroiled in the blackbuck poaching case, has been receiving threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. He received a death threat a few days ago as well. Salman also has been granted Y+ security.

The death threats against both the actors also come weeks after political leader Baba Siddique was murdered. An alleged member of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang took responsibility for his death and threatened Salman in the statement. Salman has been on high alert ever since and the Mumbai Police is also ensuring he is safe.

While investigations are underway, it’s currently uncertain if there is any connection with Lawrence Bishnoi, a known figure linked to recent threats against Salman Khan. Mumbai Police Takes Immediate Action

According to sources, the death threat against Shah Rukh Khan was made over a phone call in which the caller demanded Rs 50 lakh from the actor. This prompted the Mumbai Police to act immediately, registering a case under sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the Bombay National Security Act (BNS). Currently, the police are leaving no stone unturned to trace the origins of this call, ensuring the safety of the high-profile actor and working to prevent any potential harm.

Call Traced to Raipur, Chhattisgarh

The investigation took a new turn when authorities reportedly traced the call back to Raipur in Chhattisgarh. Following this lead, a team from the Mumbai Police has traveled to Raipur to collaborate with local authorities in probing the case. In Raipur, the police identified a suspect named Mohammad Faizan Khan, who is said to be an advocate. Faizan Khan claimed his phone had been lost on November 2nd, three days before the threat call was reportedly made to Bandra Police Station on November 5th.

Civil Lines CSP Ajay Kumar in Raipur stated that the Mumbai Police issued a notice to the accused. At this point, however, there has been no official confirmation on whether an arrest has been made. The police are currently examining all angles, including the possibility that Faizan Khan’s lost phone might have been used by someone else to make the threatening call.
