Lawrence Bishnoi vs Salman Khan: Is Salman Seeking Forgiveness?

Renowned Bollywood actor Salman Khan has once again found himself in the crosshairs of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, receiving a fresh death threat. This time, a chilling message was sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police’s WhatsApp number, demanding ₹5 crore to spare Salman’s life. The message emphasized that Salman must end his enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi or face severe consequences.

The threat has caused a stir in Mumbai, with the police taking swift action to track down the person behind the message. Meanwhile, security around Salman’s residence, Galaxy Apartments, has been ramped up significantly. Given the escalating threats, Salman has been provided with Y+ category security, canceling all his public engagements, including meetings and shootings. Close associates have also been advised to avoid contact with him for their safety.

The Lawrence Bishnoi Connection

This isn’t the first time Salman Khan has been targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The enmity dates back to a 26-year-old blackbuck poaching case involving Salman. During the filming of “Hum Saath Saath Hain” in 1998, Salman was accused of hunting blackbucks in Rajasthan, an act that deeply offended the Bishnoi community, which considers the blackbuck sacred. Although Salman was sentenced to five years in prison, he later secured bail. Lawrence Bishnoi, a member of the Bishnoi community, vowed to seek revenge for the blackbuck incident. This vendetta resurfaced in 2018, about 20 years after the original case, with Bishnoi publicly threatening Salman.

Bishnoi’s gang has become notorious for its ruthless actions, including a series of threats against Salman. On April 14, 2024, two gunmen fired at Salman’s Galaxy Apartments, causing panic across Bollywood. The Lawrence gang claimed responsibility, declaring it as a “trailer” and warning that future attacks would be far more severe. A recent confession by a shooter from the gang confirmed that the weapons used in the attack were provided by the gang.

Salman’s father, Salim Khan, has also been a target, receiving threatening letters in the past. Despite heightened security, Salman continues to be a target due to his unresolved feud with Lawrence Bishnoi. The latest threat invokes the murder of Maharashtra’s former minister, Baba Siddique, who was shot dead in October 2024, with Bishnoi’s gang claiming responsibility. The gang warned that Salman could face a similar fate if he doesn’t comply with their demands.

The Role of Somy Ali

Interestingly, Somy Ali, Salman’s ex-girlfriend, has made headlines by requesting a meeting with Lawrence Bishnoi through social media. She suggested that a dialogue between Salman and Lawrence could be beneficial for both parties. Although their past relationship has been tumultuous, Somy has often defended Salman in the public sphere. She previously advocated for a resolution between Salman and the Bishnoi community. Her recent appeal has sparked curiosity, especially in light of the ₹5 crore ransom demand.

Salman’s Security Measures

In light of the escalating threats, Salman Khan has taken extraordinary security precautions. He has acquired a bulletproof car worth ₹2 crore, equipped with thick bulletproof glass that can withstand gunfire. The car also includes bomb alert sensors and a system to protect against explosives. With dark-tinted windows, it’s impossible for outsiders to see who’s inside, adding an extra layer of protection.

Additionally, Salman is surrounded by a multi-layered security system. His long-time bodyguard, Shera, leads a team of 60 bouncers who ensure his safety. On top of that, a group of commandos forms another protective layer, and his bulletproof vehicle completes the impenetrable security setup.
