Rashmika Mandanna gets emotional as she wraps up 5-year journey with ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’

Rashmika Mandanna shared an emotional farewell to the ‘Pushpa’ series as she wrapped up filming for ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. Reflecting on her five-year journey with the project, Rashmika described the set as her “second home” and expressed gratitude for the bonds formed with co-stars Allu Arjun and director Sukumar. Her heartfelt post captured the exhaustion, gratitude, and sadness of saying goodbye to a career-defining chapter.

The buzz around ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ continues to grow as the film approaches its release date on December 5, 2024. The journey of Pushpa Raj, played by Allu Arjun, has been impactful not only for the audience but also for the cast and crew involved in the project. Recently, leading actress Rashmika Mandanna shared an emotional post on her Instagram story sharing her experiences while filming.

Rashmika described her last day on set as overwhelmingly emotional. After a long day of shooting, she flew to Chennai for an event and returned to Hyderabad that same night. Despite knowing it was her final day of filming, she found it hard to grasp the significance of the moment. Over the past five years, the ‘Pushpa’ set had become like a second home to her, and saying goodbye stirred up a mix of emotions she struggled to articulate.

She added, “My whole day till late went in shoot. And I knew it was my last day but somehow it didn’t feel like the last day… you know, like hmm, I don’t know how to say. Out of the 7/8 years, the last 5 years being on this set almost made this set my home in the industry and finally, it was my last day. Of course, there’s still so much work left and apparently part 2, but it felt different. It felt overwhelming. It felt like it was ending… Some sort of sadness that even I didn’t understand, and suddenly all the emotions came together. The days of extreme hard work came rushing back to me, and I was feeling tired, exhausted, but at the same time so grateful.”

Rashmika recalled the intense hard work that went into creating ‘Pushpa’, feeling both exhausted and grateful for the relationships she formed with her co-stars, especially Allu Arjun and director Sukumar. She expressed sadness at leaving behind a team that had become like family over the years.

She further wrote, “Allu Arjun sir and Sukku sir and the team are the only ones I think who know me the most as a person more than anyone else in the industry. They have literally seen me most days since the last 5 years, and Pushpa set had become my home ground, and now to see it go is something so hard. So yeah, 25th Nov 2024 had been a very hard day, but one I’ll cherish. It was worth it in one day.”

Allu Arjun also shared his thoughts on wrapping up filming, posting a picture from his last day.
